An apprentice is an employee who receives on-the-job training learning job-specific skills whilst working towards a recognised qualification. The qualifications are available in three levels:
- Apprenticeship – level 2 which is equivalent to GCSE’s
- Advanced Apprenticeship – level 3 which is equivalent to A-levels
- Higher Apprenticeship – level 4 which is equivalent to a foundation degree
